Hardware merchant.
Born in England on 10 March 1856, he emigrated to Canada in 1900 where he went into business partnership with F. Morton Morse in the wholesale firm of Miller-Morse Hardware Company. In failing health, he left Winnipeg in late 1912 to spend the winter at Los Angeles, California. He died there on 3 January 1913.
