Financial and real estate broker (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan).

Born Prince Edward Island, 17 September 1852, son of Donald and Isabella McLeod. Educated public schools, Prince Edward Island. Shoemaker, Bredalbane, P.E.I., 1873. Came to Winnipeg and engaged in shoemaking business with Dodd & Company, 1881. Came to Prince Albert and formed partnership with W. Shannon, 1883; partnership dissolved, 1888, and engaged for himself in general merchandise: sold business and retired, 1898. Engaged in real estate and financial business on his own account subsequently admitted his son to partnership; councillor, Prince Albert Town, 1894-1895; mayor, 1896; alderman, 1905, 1911- 1912; president, Prince Albert Board of Trade, 1888; vice-president, 1910; member for Prince Albert city and district, N.W.T. Legislature, 1898-1902; member Half-Breed Scrip Commission, 1900. Married Elizabeth E. Biggar, Prince Edward Island, 1874, (deceased); married Winnifred Biggar, Winnipeg, 1892; has three sons. Society: I.O.F. Recreations: running, jumping, baseball. Liberal; Presbyterian. Address: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
