Memorable Manitobans: Brian Joseph McKinnon (1948-2010)

Banker, municipal official.

Born at Miramachi, New Brunswick on 8 August 1948, he worked in the financial services business including 25 years with the Royal Bank of Canada, senior management and executive roles with Manulife Financial and Investors Group, being based at several places in Canada, the Bahamas, and Japan. He worked for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, was Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Eriksdale, and served on several committees and boards. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion. He died at Eriksdale on 9 February 2010 and was buried in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery.
