Memorable Manitobans: Clifford Mackay “Black Mike” McEwen (1897-1967)WWI flying ace. Born in Griswold, Manitoba, he served as a lieutenant in the RAF with 27 victories to his credit. After the war he achieved the rank of Air Vice-Marshall in the RCAF. He died in Toronto.
