Farmer, municipal official.
Born in Wellington County, Ontario in 1895, son of Henry McCullough (1871-?) and Nora McCullough (1873-?), in 1901 he moved with his parents to the Pretty Valley district where he farmed until retirement (1976) then moved to Swan River (1977).
He served as a Trustee for the Pretty Valley School District for several years, Councillor for the RM of Swan River for six years, and was Reeve from 1955 to 1974. He was a member of the Swan River Valley Hospital Board and was instrumental in establishing the Swan Valley Lodge and Personal Care Home.
On 12 May 1915, he married Lily May Cowan (1894-1996) in the Cowan family home at Swan River, and had five children: Dorothy “May” McCullough (1915-2009, wife of Robert “Bruce” Johnston), Clarence Russell McCullough (1917-1917), Elsie Joyce “Joy” McCullough (1919-2005, wife of Dave Thom), Jean Eileen McCullough (1923-2013, wife of Milton Mayer), and Doris Winnifred McCullough (1924-1992, wife of Wilfred Clarence “Buster” Soura).
He died at the Swan River Valley Hospital on 21 June 1979.
