Memorable Manitobans: Malcolm McBeath (1880-?)

Real estate agent.

Born Allenford, Ontario, 2 December 1880, son of Thomas and Lena McBeath. Educated Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Commenced printing business, 1895, then on reportorial staff Portage la Prairie Review, Daily News, later purchasing interest in paper and conducting same for eight years. Removed to Winnipeg and in real estate business two years when removed to Vancouver, 1906, and at the age of thirty has achieved a competency. Married Bessie H. McFarlane, Portage la Prairie; has one daughter. Recreation: motoring. Address: 1676 Pendrell Street, Vancouver, B.C.

In 1911, McBeath was Secretary and Managing Director of Northern Securities Company, and President of the Pacific Loan Company, 529 Fender Street, Vancouver, BC.
