Real estate agent.

Born Bruce Company, Ontario, 5 March 1865. Son of Christopher and Rachel Mathers. Educated Lucknow public, Kincardine Model schools, Ridgetown College Institute, Toronto Business College Taught school Ontario and Manitoba, 1884-1887. Commenced career in book and stationery business, Neepawa, Manitoba. Employed in Manitoba Land Titles office, 1901-1904. Came to British Columbia 1906. Married Amy Hamilton, Neepawa, Manitoba; has two sons and three daughters. Club: Canadian. Recreations: boating, hunting. Address: 2530 York Street, Kitsilano, B.C.

In 1911, Mathers was employed with the firm of Hamilton & Mathers, Loo Block, Vancouver, BC.
