Mechanic.
Born at Brandon on 15 September 1893, son of Georgina Beatrice Mansoff, in his youth he was involved in paddlewheel riverboats operated on the Assiniboine River by Hunt Johnston Rolston Large. In 1915, he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served in France, Belgium, and Germany. In 1939, he started a welding business at Dauphin and operated it until 1979. He had a sports column on CKDM Radio for many years, known as “The Old Poacher” and as a result he became an ardent conservationist. He was married twice, first to Jeanette (?-?) and second to Audrey Genevieve Loyst (1910-1996). He had two daughters, Irene Mansoff (wife of Dennis Cote) and Joanne Mansoff, both of Dauphin. He died at Dauphin on 2 August 1983 and was buried in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.
