Memorable Manitobans: Alfred Henry Lewis (1869-?)Publisher. Born Shorncliffe, Kent, England, 29 October 1869, son of John Levi and Anne Lewis. Educated Cardiff University, Wales. Commenced business as publisher of Record, Cardiff. Afterwards moved to Winnipeg, and published Western Municipal News. Came to Vancouver, 1907, and engaged in present business. Was chairman of Monmouth Conservative Association, Wales. Married Mary Ann Lewis, 1889; has two sons and four daughters. Recreation: reading. Conservative. Address: Grandview, Vancouver, BC. In 1911, Lewis was publisher of the Times and Building News, 282 Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.
