Memorable Manitobans: William Harry “Bill” Kozyra (1929-2021)Educator, insurance agent, municipal official. Born on the family farm at Brokenhead on 17 December 1929, son of Harry Gregory Kozyra (1898-1990) and Katherine Patricia Kryschuk (1911-1981), he taught at White Poplar School (1948-1952) and St. Ouens School (1952-1955) before joining Reimer Agencies in 1952 and purchasing the business in 1967. He sold it in 1985 to devote his time to serving on boards and organization, as Reeve for the RM of Brokenhead, the Lions Club, and a trustee for the Sunrise School Division.
