Carpenter.
Born in Norway on 4 April 1862, he moved to the United States where he married Anna Knudsen (1857-1939) in 1890. Five years later, the family moved to Winnipeg from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Knudsen worked as a house builder in the Norwood area of the city. By his 75th birthday, he had seven children, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is commemorated by Knudsen Street in Winnipeg.
