Memorable Manitobans: Hugh James Hickey (1868-1947)
Grocer broker.
Born in the United States, he resided in Winnipeg since 1907. He retired from business in 1928. He was a member of the Winnipeg Jockey Club, Manitoba Club (president, 1939-1940), Carleton Club, and the St. Charles Country Club. He died at Winnipeg on 27 August 1947 and was buried at Hamilton, Ontario.
