Memorable Manitobans: Frederick William “Fred” Harrison (1878-?)Educator. Born at York, Ontario on 7 September 1878, son of William Harrison and Christina Whelpton, he came to Manitoba early in the 20th century and taught in rural schools, including service as the Principal of Wawanesa School (1907-1911) and West Treherne School (1912-1913).
