Memorable Manitobans: Lucien Guenette (1932-2018)Chartered accountant, community activist. Born at St. Jean-Baptiste on 21 February 1932, he attended St. Boniface College then established, in partnership with Gabriel Forest, the first accounting firm in western Canada that provided accounting service in French. It eventually became the Winnipeg office of BDO Canada LLP. He was active in the Francophone community, in recognition of which he received Le Prix Alexandre-Taché (2001) and Le Prix Riel (2011).
