Professor.
Born at Evansville, Indiana, he attended Washington University in St. Louis to study Architecture. In 1962, he switched to Evansville College to study business and graduated in 1965. He receiving a Masters degree in Management from Southern Illinois University (1967) and a PhD in Management from the University of Southn Carolina (1970), he moved to Winnipeg.
He joined the Faculty of Commerce (now I. H. Asper School of Business) at the University of Manitoba and rose to become Dean of the Faculty. He retired in 2005 as Dean Emeritus. He published four books and taught management seminars across Canada, USA, England, China, and Malaysia. He also had an active consulting practice. He served on corporate boards of Pollard Banknote (18 years) and Gendis Incorporated (10 years).
In 1970, he married Lynda H. Weber (1945-2012) and they had a son. In retirement, he served as Chair of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, President of the Manitoba Club (2007), and Chair of the Friends of Upper Fort Garry.
He died at the Victoria Hospital on 12 October 2025.
