Memorable Manitobans: Elwood Clinton Gorrie (1915-2002)

He was born at Wawanesa, Manitoba on 27 November 1915, son of Charles Gorrie and Evelyn Gorrie. He was the Chair of the Brandon School Board (1959-1960), President of the Manitoba Association of Urban Municipalities (1976- 1977, and Mayor of Brandon (1975-1977). He died at Brandon on 3 July 2002.
