Entertainer.
Born at Carman in 1932, he began singing publicly at the age of four as “Little Reggie Gibson, the yodelling cowboy.” He sang at fairs and rodeos, and was a popular radio and television performer of country music between 1949 and 1976, mainly on the CBC. He toured the Middle East to entertain troops in 1966-1967. He was President of the Manitoba Cutting Horse Association and was Manitoba champion from 1965 to 1967 on his horse Deacon Joe. He served as President of ACTRA from 1971 to 1973 and received its President’s Award for distinguished service in 1989.
