Memorable Manitobans: Leslie Frank Gates (1917-1979)

Farmer, municipal official.

He served as Reeve of the Rural Municipality of South Norfolk from 1958 to 1963. He was elected Mayor of Treherne at a bye-election held in February 1979 but died at his Treherne home soon after, on 4 March 1979, and was buried in Woodlands Cemetery at Treherne.
