Memorable Manitobans: James Gallagher (1883-1965)
Municipal official.
Born in Ireland in 1883, he was elected as councillor for the Rural Municipality of North Kildonan in 1930 and served as Reeve from 1938 until his resignation in December 1943. He was married with two sons, Frederick J. Gallagher and John P. Gallagher. He died at Edmonton on 14 January 1965.
