Memorable Manitobans: Frank H. Epp (1929-1986)Historian. Born at Lena on 25 May 1929, he studied at the Canadian Mennonite Bible College, completing a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1953. He received a BA degree from Bethel College at Newton, Kansas (1956), and attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota (1959-1965). He was the founding Editor of The Canadian Mennonite and The Canadian Mennonite Reporter. He was President of Conrad Grebel College and University of Waterloo, and served as an advisor to Canadian Immigration and the Mennonite Central Committee. His published books include Mennonite Exodus: The Rescue and Resettlement of the Russian Mennonites since the Communist Revolution (1962) and Mennonites in Canada, Volume 1: The History of a Separate People (1974).
