Memorable Manitobans: Adrian Darveau (1916-2003)

Cleric.

He entered the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1937 and was ordained to the priesthood in June 1943. He served at Brochet for the next 50 years. In 1996, he retired, moving to Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec. In June 2002, he was inducted into the Order of Manitoba for his contribution in northern Manitoba’s First Nations communities. He died at Laval, Quebec on 27 April 2003 and was buried in the Brochet Cemetery.
