Educator.
Born at Roland around 1927, eldest of three sons of Alexander Crandle (1900-1965) and Katharine Crandle (1896-1970), he served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Following his return from military service, he became a teacher, working for 36 years at Shoal Lake School (?-?), Minnedosa South School (1952-1953, Principal), Earl Haig School (1957-1958), and Camp Shilo Schools (1961-1984). On 6 July 1957, he married Marguerite Andrew at Minnedosa. They had no children. His hobbies included buying and selling antiques, and attending Brandon University Bobcats basketball games. He died at Brandon on 1 July 2009 and was buried in the Hamiota Cemetery.
