Music educator, composer.
Born at Laurier on 15 March 1936, son of Ernest Bouchard (1905-1975) and Alma Fradette (1911-1989), he became interested in music at the age of 11, when a new music teacher arrived at Laurier School. He began to offer private piano lessons at Neepawa in the 1950s and, over the course of a long career, taught 760 students. He wrote music for piano that was published by the Boston Music Company, Black Cat Productions, Mayfair Music Publishers, Debra Wanless Music, Russell Publishing, and Hal Leonard Publishing. His choral compositions were performed by the Winnipeg Singers and by international choirs. He died unmarried at Neepawa on 2 September 2019 and was buried in the Laurier Cemetery.
