Athlete.
Born at Portage la Prairie on 17 October 1955, he attended Oakville School and Arthur Meighen High School. He began playing hockey with the Portage Terriers at the age of 14 then with the Brandon Wheat Kings at 16. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks and played with the team from 1975 to 1980. He also excelled at golf and curling. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1995). He died at Portage la Prairie on 16 April 2005 and was buried in the Oakville Cemetery.
