Memorable Manitobans: Dorothy Kathleen Ash (1906-1995)
Community activist.
In 1984, she was inducted into the Order of Canada. For years she had been the driving force behind the development of music and theatre arts in Flin Flon. She was also a major influence in community business and education. She was twice honoured by Flin Flon as an outstanding citizen. On 3 January 1926, she married John Cecil Ash (?-?) at The Pas. She died in Flin Flon on 26 May 1995.
