Memorable Manitobans: Kenneth Carleton Allen (1884-1956)Grain merchant. Born in New Brunswick in August 1884, he came to Winnipeg around 1910 and was admitted to the Winnipeg Grain Exchange. He later moved to Calgary where he was manager of the Alberta Pacific Grain Company. In 1942 he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. He was a director of the Western Canada Steamships Company, Western Canada Breweries, Buckerfields Limited, Alberta Pacific Grain Company, and Pacific Elevators.
