Formed in November 1888, until 1908 it was the Manitoba Branch of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club. Renamed the Manitoba Curling Association, it became Curl Manitoba in 2009. The Manitoba Ladies Curling Association was formed in 1924. It operated until amalgamation with the Manitoba Curling Association in 2000.

On 19 January 2024, Curl Manitoba was presented with an MHS Centennial Organization Award by council members Gary Moir and Dan Furlan.
