A two-storey, 14-classroom school on Flora Avenue in Winnipeg was designed by local school architect James Bertram Mitchell and constructed in 1922 by the firm of Hazelton and Walin at a cost of $66,123. The school opened in October 1922, relieving overcrowding at nearby Aberdeen School and Strathcona School.
