The following tips may help in locating historic sites in the database.
1. Use the keyword “approx” (without the quotes) to find sites whose locations are known only approximately.
2. To search for sites within a municipality that underwent amalgamation in 2015, use the name of that municipality as a keyword. For example, to find sites in the former Rural Municipality of Albert in the new Municipality of Two Borders, use “Albert” (without the quotes) as a keyword and “Two Borders” as the municipality.
3. Use the keyword “photo=0” (without the quotes) to find sites for which we do not have a photograph. (And feel free to contact the Webmaster to contribute a photo if you have one!) You can use photo=2020 (or whatever year) to find sites with photos taken in that year. Or use the NOT operator with this keyword to find sites for which we do have a photograph.
