Formerly located at the southeast corner of Stella Avenue and Charles Street in Winnipeg, a 1½-storey wood frame and stone foundation church, measuring 36 feet by 50 feet, was designed by local architect Johann “John” Schwab for the congregation of German Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. It was built in 1903 by contractor-brothers Adolph Vincent Maurer and Frederick Maurer with subcontractors J. Henn (masonry), Joesph Baker (plastering), John Gibson and William Brennen (decorating of the chancel), William Kier (painting), and Christopher Burrer (tinsmithing and metallic ceiling) at a cost of about $4,000. The church had a seating capacity of 300 people and it opened officially on 6 September 1903.
In 1912, the building along with an associated Rectory and School were sold at public auction and it became Roumanian Beth Abraham Synagogue.
The building was demolished sometime after 1960 in conjunction with the Lord Selkirk Park housing development. The site is now part of the school grounds for David Livingstone School.
