The Association for Manitoba Archives was established in 1992 through the merger of the Association of Manitoba Archivists (founded 1980) and the Manitoba Council of Archives. Each year around Manitoba Day, it presents awards recognizing noteworth research resulting from the use of archival collections in Manitoba.
