This body was established on 1 December 1959, replacing a former Municipal and Public Utility Board, with authority to act as an impartial tribunal for appeals of municipal property assessments. Its three founding members were Robert Lloyd “Frenchy” McDonald (Chair), Henry Baird “Hank” Scott, and Ernest Newburn McGirr.
