Educator.
Born at Quebec in April 1887, daughter of Caroline Stitt (c1840-?) she taught at Dundas School (1907-1909) and was both teacher (1909-1912) and Principal (1910-1912) of St. Andrews School. On 17 June 1912, she married James Howell Evans and they had four children: Robert Howell Evans (1913-?), Clarence Ernest Evans (1914-1942), Sidney James Evans (1914-?), and Esther Mary Evans (1920-?, wife of Mr. C. Stubbert) and resided at Saskatchewan for a while before returning to Winnipeg and taking up residence at 91 Borebank Street. She died at Toronto, Ontario on 28 August 1962 and her body was returned to Winnipeg for burial in the Elmwood Cemetery.
