Situated behind the former St. Boniface City Hall, the structure was built in 1907 on a design by local architect Victor Horwood, departing from designs used for other fire halls around the city. The building was used until 1967 then used as a Fire Hall Museum, along with office and a drop-in centre for senior citizens. It is a municipally-designated historic site.
