A one-storey brick building on Eveline Street in Selkirk, measuring 42 feet by 125 feet, was built in 1907 as a carbarn for the Winnipeg, Selkirk and Lake Winnipeg Railway (taken over in 1906 by the Winnipeg Electric Railway Company) that operated between Selkirk and Winnipeg from 1901 to 1939. At the time of a 2022 site visit, the heavily renovated building (three large arches on the side facing Eveline were formerly doorways for railway cars) was occupied by a church.
