Historic Sites of Manitoba: Schickele House (280 Scotia Street, Winnipeg)

This 1½-storey red brick and stucco house on Scotia Avenue in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), measuring 28 feet by 40 feet, was built in 1925 for Lucien Alphonse Schickele, head chef at the Royal Alexandra Hotel.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
