Historic Sites of Manitoba: Canadian Pacific Railway Station (Provincial Road 502, Lac du Bonnet)

Formerly located along Provincial Road 502 at Lac du Bonnet, on the CPR Lac du Bonnet Subdivision, across from the Lac du Bonnet Brick Plant, was the original site of a station for the Canadian Pacific Railway. It was a two-storey wood frame, clipped gable roof building, with two double gable dormers at right angles and a shingled awning which stretched out over the railway platform. It was designed by notable station designer Ralph Benjamin Pratt.

By 1925, the development of the town had occurred one-half mile to the south of the station so, later that year, a new two-storey station was built along First Street. The original station was then demolished and no vestiges of it remains today.
