In the mid-1990s, the Manitoba Pool elevator at Darlingford, on the CPR La Riviere Subdivision in the Municipality of Pembina, had a total capacity of about 160,000 bushels. The oldest part was an 40,000-bushel elevator built in 1924 for the Darlingford Farmers Elevator Company. Acquired by Pool around 1945, in 1958, a 50,000-bushel elevator was constructed and the older elevator was converted to an annex. Finally, in 1977, the elevator was fully renovated and a 70,000-bushel crib annex was built. Closed by Agricore in November 2000, it was demolished in June 2002.
