Memorable Manitobans: Peter Zvankin (1879-1975)Composer. Born in Kherson, Russia, he came to Winnipeg in 1906. He became a textile broker and began composing music at the age of 55. His music was performed frequently by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Winnipeg CBC Orchestra. His papers are at the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections.
