Journalist.
Born at Brandon on 11 June 1966, one of four children of Herbert Ruskin “Herb” Wyman (1921-?) and Anna Katherine “Kay” Rowlette (1922-1986), he moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1966 and later attended Kelvin High School, graduating from the creative communications program at Red River College. He began a career in journalism at the Brandon Sun (1992-1993) then moved to the Moose Jaw Times-Herald (1993-1996) before returning to the Sun (1996-2003). In the latter year, he returned to Winnipeg as sports copy editor at the Winnipeg Sun, being promoted to sports editor in 2006. He was inducted into the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Media Roll of Honour (2018). He died at Winnipeg on 9 November 2024. He is commemorated by the Ted Wyman Memorial Scholarship to support journalism students at Red River College.
