Memorable Manitobans: David Wallace Shaw (1932-2008)Educator. Born on a farm near Swan River in 1932, son of Earl Shaw and Florence Anderson, he attended Brandon College and the University of Manitoba. He taught at Binscarth School (1954-1956) and served as the Principal of Roland School (1957-1961) and Treherne School (1967-1972). He also taught in the River East School Division, Seven Oaks School Division, and Winnipeg School Division, as well as in France and Quebec. While living at Treherne, he served on the town council. Married with two sons, he was a member of the Liberal Party, Masons, Treherne Bowling Club, Delahunt Golf and Country Club, and Treherne United Church.
