Memorable Manitobans: Marguerite Willard Robertson (1892-1987)Educator. Born at Galt, Ontario on 8 September 1892, one of six daughters of George Robertson (1844-?) and Jessie Robertson (1859-?), she arrived in Manitoba with her family prior to 1901. She joined the teaching staff of the Winnipeg School Division, working as the Principal of Knowles School (1921-1933) and a teacher at Mulvey School (1933-1938) and Laura Secord School (1938-1953), after which she retired. She was a close friend of Margaret Norma McGougan. She died in Winnipeg on 21 March 1987 and was buried in Riverside Cemetery.
