Businessman, community activist.
Born in France in 1901, he came to St. Boniface in 1913 and attended Provencher School until graduation in 1918. He served in the French Army (1921-1923) then returned to St. Boniface where he worked in the lumber industry. He was President of the Building Material Dealers Association of Greater Winnipeg and a member of the Winnipeg Lumbermen's Club.
Active in the community, he served on the St. Boniface School Board (1937-1960) and was its Chair (1958-1960). He served on the executive of the Manitoba Association of School Trustees. He served on the board for the Sir Hugh Macdonald Hostel, and was a founder of the St. Joseph Cercle Ouvrier (Secretary-Treasurer, 1929-1944). He was Vice-President of the Catholic Welfare Association and a member of the St. Boniface Hospital Advisory Board. He was a member of the Municipal and Public Utility Board (1955-1959) and a founding member of the Public Utilities Board (1959).
He and wife Julienne Hermary (1906-1995) had three children: Adrien Abel Raimbault (1926-2007), Eugene Raimbault (1930-2019), and Madeleine Raimbault (wife of R. St. Hilaire). The family lived at 264 Hamel Street, St. Boniface. He was a member of the St. Boniface Health Club and St. Boniface Kiwanis Club (President, 1951).
He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 15 December 1960 and was buried in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
