Land developer.
Born at Husbands Bosworth Camp, England on 28 April 1951, one of two children of Polish immigrants Stanislawa “Stella” Kozikowski (1913-2004) and Joseph Oblik (1906-1982), as a baby he came to Canada with his family and settled at Winnipeg. He attended General Wolfe School, Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, and Red River Community College. He worked for a few years as a surveyor in northern Manitoba then joined the Ladco Company, rising to become its Manager of Land Development. He and wife Diane Higgins (1951-2008) had a son. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 18 June 2011. He is commemorated by Ken Oblik Drive and the Ken Oblik Greenway in the South Pointe area of Winnipeg.
