Educator, administrator.
Born at Harriston, Ontario on 23 October 1877, eldest daughter of Martha Robertson (1855-1926) and Samuel Groff (1847-1930), her family moved to Kitchener when she was young and she completed her education there. In 1904, they moved to Winnipeg where she was a teacher at Norquay School (1907-1908), La Verendrye School (1910-1916), and Brandon Normal School (1918-1919). After receiving a BSc degree in Home Economics from Columbia University in New York, she taught at the University of Manitoba for many years and was Dean of Women for 12 years. She was a member of Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, University Women's Club, and the Women's Canadian Club. She died unmarried at the Misericordia Hospital on 12 October 1964 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery. At the time of her death, she lived in #3 Hugo Apartments.
