Memorable Manitobans: David John Campbell (1942-2023)

Educator.

Born near Preeceville, Saskatchewan on 14 June 1942, son of Jack and Gladys Campbell, he was raised in the Alpine district. While attending the University of Mantoba, he met Rosemarie Harms and they were married on 28 December 1968. He became a teacher, serving as the Principal of St. Francois Xavier School (1974-1979). In 1980, after a year of travel, they settled in Altona where he was the guidance counselor and later Vice-Principal of W. C. Miller Collegiate. He died at Winnipeg on 14 October 2023.
