Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Alfred Bratton (1868-1953)Born in Ontario in 1868, he came to Winnipeg where he worked as a building contractor. On 6 February 1907, he married Catharine Hann Lyons (1878-?) at Winnipeg and they had four children: Mabel Ethel Mary Bratton (1907-?, wife of James Kenneth Thompson), Arnold Robert Bratton (1910-1982), and Alfred Edward Bratton (1912-?), and Charles Bratton (?-?). He died at London, Ontario on 15 January 1953 and was buried there. Some of his construction work in Manitoba included:
