Historic Sites of Manitoba: Aberdeen Banff and Kincardine Curling Club / Canadian Pacific Railway Curling Club / Victoria Curling Club (948 William Avenue, Winnipeg)

This building on William Avenue in Winnipeg was built in 1926 as a five-sheet rink at a cost of about $10,000, for the Aberdeen Banff and Kincardine Curling Club.

In 1938, it was acquired by the Canadian Pacific Railway Curling Club which was founded in 1919. In 1950, the club renamed itself the Victoria Curling Club and continued to operate for a total of 95 years until it ceased operations after the 2013-2014 curling season.
