Historic Sites of Manitoba: Sutherland House (169 Smithfield Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 1½-storey dark red brick house on Smithfield Avenue in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), measuring 24 feet by 36 feet, was built between 1921 and 1922 for Kenneth Sutherland, a sale manager at the brokerage firm of Allan, Killam, and McKay.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
