Historic Sites of Manitoba: St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church (315 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg)

This cross-shaped Roman Catholic church in northeast Winnipeg was built in 1959 to replace two earlier structures, the first a simple, wood frame structure dating from 1914 and the second used from 1916 to 1959. The present church was designed by the architectural firm of Zunic and Sobkowich.
